Client Testimonials
"Strategic planning can be very overwhelming, but Carole made the process of identifying three key issues and coordinating goals much easier. Both myself and the board were very pleased with her facilitation skills and the outcome of the day. I would certainly use her services again and definitely recommend Carole to other organizations."

“I have been a participant in planning days organized by Carole Spicer, and am always impressed by how well they are organized and reach results that help organizations in their next steps. This time I took the lead on getting our Strategic Planning Day underway, so worked with Carole from the beginning. She makes it easy, low stress, and meets every expectation.”

Former Queen Bee, Newfoundland and Labrador Beekeeping Association
International Education Newfoundland and Labrador (IENL) hired Carole Spicer of Spicer Facilitation in June 2022 to assist us in the development of our first strategic plan. IENL is a not-for-profit association with over ten years of experience supporting not only international education but also the international student youth that come to the province to attain their life goals.
To begin the process, key knowledge holders including staff and the Board of Directors completed a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis survey. The survey was online, anonymous, and easy to use. Carole compiled the responses to use as a foundation for our in-person strategic planning discussions.
The in-person discussions identified three strategic directions. We developed goals, 3-year objectives, identified key indicators of success. Mission and vision statements, and identifying values completed the process. An Equity, Diversity and Inclusion lens underpinned our approaches, and we were grateful for Carole’s comfort level in facilitating this important work.
I truly enjoyed the session and appreciated Carole’s facilitation very much. I would recommend Carole to other organizations embarking on a similar process.
